This was my first volunteering with WorldPackers and also my first solo trip, although at the beginning I was a little nervous today I can tell you that my time here was incredible and I will always remember it. Each member of the family has something to teach or tell, and this for me was beautiful; I learn about wines, olio, food, and I was also able to practice my Italian! The job depends on the time you decide to come mostly because the seasons indicates how much work will be in the Cantina. If you come with a service attitude it will be very easy for you to adapt. Grazie mille the winery Fam ♥️

My Time at the winery was everything I hoped for. If you are someone interested in Food, wine, olive oil and culture this is a great experience for you. Early on I made sure to let Maria and Anna Laura know I was passionate about these topics and they went out of their way to teach me traditional dishes from the Umbrian region and Maria took me foraging. The property is located in the countryside with lots of beautiful walking paths. You get one day a week to explore and will depend on someone for transportation. It's a lot of learning on your feet but it's wonderful meeting all the guests! :)

My time here was difficult but not without some interesting learning experiences. To start: I always had plenty to eat (the food was great), I had a clean and safe bedroom/bathroom and I always had access to a place to do my laundry. Alternatively, I found communication with my hosts to be the major stressor/main source of conflict during my stay. I often found myself being yelled at or rudely spoken to while working tastings. Most days I had to work 8+ hours instead of the agreed upon 5 hours. Ultimately I was sad to leave early, but I did not want to continue to be taken advantage of.

We didn't treat you bad and your behavior was very unrespectful and unsocial on our confronts especially during lunch and dinner. You didn't chat at all with us. To our chatting you just answer with a word. You lied saying that you worked over 8 hours most of the days when there were days that you didn't do nothing. We explained during the videochat that we need flexibility on the work hours and you accept it but it was never 8 hours and without stop. We vere very clear about this. We feel only hostile feelings from you. We say always that is like living in a family and with most of our volunteers we are friends and we take free days together or go to the restaurants or the beach or some parks. With you we understand that it was impossible this. We tried to have a friendship with you but evertime you closed every door about this. We welcome you in the family and we feel so bad how you treat us and all the problems that you and Kara created to our business that is our passion and life.

Work isn't hard, and the food is good but those are the only positives. Hosts are very emotional & treated us with hostility (often making customers feel uncomfortable). We decided to leave early bc felt like we were walking on eggshells; we worked hard for many more hours than advertised in listing & we're always courteous. Can't write too much bc character limit but feel free to message me! I wish the best for their business, and hope this was just a busy season & they find a healthy way to deal w stress. Esp if you're traveling alone, don't be blindsided by the great reviews!

Your behavior was very unrespectful and unsocial of our work and our family. You did your tasks very badly even if they were very few. You lied also saying that we treated you bad, when it was the opposite, or our clients when we have only good reviews. You created problems to our job and risk fine and penalties for your bad work. You hurt the feelings of everyone in the family. When the volunteers contact me, I will explain what you did to us and all the problems that you created especially to our business.

My experience volunteering at the winery was amazing. Everyone made me feel welcomed and the work was rewarding. The tasks are not complex, and the living accommodations and meals are great. Most days include setting up and talking to guests, bussing tables, and other chores depending on the day. If you ask questions everyone is happy to teach you about the wine, olive, oil, and even how to cook delisous meals (and biscotti). Thank you for hosting me Maria, Annalaura, Pietro, Marco, Loki, and Numa!

The winery family welcomed me so well that was difficult to leave. i felt like a member of the family and it was easy to pick up the daily tasks. The tasks are basically the same every day without much planning. Remember that life in the countryside, different culture and mindset are not easy as you imagine. The house is far from the city, there is no Uber, bikes, buses to take and the taxis are expensive. You will depend on someone whenever you need to get around. The food is amazing, get ready! Anyway, I definitely recommend this experience and Grazie Mille for having me❤️

I would highly recommend my experience here! This was my first worldpackers experience, and it was wonderful. Everyone in the family made me feel welcomed. The area is so beautiful, and I would often go for long walks surrounded by pure nature. The work is not difficult, requires you to be committed to the work and flexible to tasks and hours. Most days I would work in the morning, have a 2-3 hours break, and work in the evening. I ate lunch/dinner with the family everyday & the food was some of the best food I've had in my entire life. Thank you for an amazing experience! ❤️

My experience at the winery was peculiar. I learned about wine and olive oil by participating in many different activities and I improved my skills in cooking and cleaning. The tasks are very easy and you will be involved in all the family's activities. Some days may be more challenging than others, as it is normal for this kind of work. Overall, don't be afraid to ask if you'd like to learn more about the winery or if some tasks are not clear. Maria, Annalaura and the whole family are willing to help you. Grazie di tutto.
