Volunteers are in charge of teaching English to the youngest children attending our center, this means in the Kindergarten from Monday to Friday, 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in afternoon. After the two lesson the volunteers give a little snack to the children and wash hands and brush teeth with them to help them develop good hygiene habits. Next the volunteers prepare different activities such as creative workshops, environmental (like recycling) workshops, sport games or boardgames to help them develop other skills.
Besides, twice per week volunteers will teach English to a small group of 10 teenagers with an intermediate level of English and are in charge of our plastic's recycling workshop that implies at least 3 hours per week.
Weekends are always free, but you're welcome to spend time with the children.
A typical day looks like this: breakfast around 7-8, kindergarden and activity (from 8 to 10), after free time (or also preparing lessons or doing recycling workshops), lunch (around 12), kindergarden and activity (from 14 to 16) and then free time. Normally there should be silence after 21.30 cause of the children.
The schedule can obviously change due to inconveniences or other urgent things to do.
On sundays we sometimes organize sport games or a football match, you can also spend the day relaxing or going out for a trip or visit something around.
