3 times a week we organise social events. Sometimes Bar Street or the night market. Worldpacker volunteers will need to commit to a minimum of 1 month to this position. The duties will include promoting the pub crawls, briefing the guests before leaving, walking all the guest to the bars, encouraging participation and socialising among the guests. On day that we are not busy you will be required to assist with housekeeping too.

As a social coordinator, you must be friendly and comfortable talking with strangers to promote our weekly events. Your duties will be the following:
PROMOTE the events - you will be in charge of getting guests together before the event and socializing with them in the hostel while continuing to recruit new guests, encouraging everyone to join.
SOCIALIZING before, during, and after each night out. Be creative in the way you connect with guests and try to connect guests with other guests. You will be a social butterfly and move around throughout the night, so you will be encouraging guests to join in and meet new people each time you go out.
RESPONSIBILITY – you will be expected to be alert all night, able to tend to any safety concerns throughout the night. You are encouraged to enjoy the events yourself, however you must be a responsible drinker on nights you are on shift.
Your shifts would be the following days & times:
Mondays 9am-11am & 7pm-1am
Wednesdays 9am-11am & 7pm-1am
Fridays 9am-11am & 7pm-1am
The other duties will involving hanging out with guests on Sunday nights, playing games or otherwise connecting with guests and promoting the upcoming events and also assisting with simple housekeeping duties.
Schedules may change according to season.
This is a 1 month commitment (minimum).
You will need to have lots of common sense.
Always be respectful to other staff members, guests, and the bar staff that host you and your group each night.
Under no circumstance are you permitted to engage in intimate relationships with a guest while volunteering at the hostel.
Strictly NO drugs in and outside of the hostel. This is a zero tolerance policy.
