The cleaning team needs your help! Collaborate with the housekeepers together, change bed sheets, take out the garbage from the rooms - keep the hostel clean so it can feel like home :) You are welcome to be a host at the reception as well - help the guests to find their rooms, talk to them, explore the life in the hostel and give us feedback. Vera is the best boss in the world 😄 always taking good care of us volunteers and very dedicated to the hostel! without doubt the best place I've ever stayed as a volunteer. This was my first experience with Worldpackers and it can't be better. Vera and Lacó are very nice persons, responsible and worried. They helped us when we need. The hostel is very comfortable and clean. Budapest is the best city I have been in Europe.

Vera and Laco are nice hosts!
They offer an apartment only for the volunteers, so I could have more privacy and be well integrated with all of them!
The tasks were easy and the schedule respected (with flexibility for changes if needed).
Beyond this, the amount of free days are the best!!!!! You really can travel to neighbors' countries.
However, I missed the contact with the guests in a common area, so we could exchange culture, idioms, experiences.

Volunteering in Budapest Budget Hostel was great. I was there for two weeks from end of February until early March. I think two weeks were more than enough to stay in Budapest. I enjoyed my stay there as a social media reporter. Tasks were simple and we had a lot of free time to do whatever we want, only one post a day on IG & FB. Vera and Lacos were very nice and flexible and made me feel comfortable. I shared the room, toilet and kitchen with all the volunteers. I’d recommend anyone to volunteer or even stay in the hostel but I’d avoid the winter season because it was very cold to me.
We run this hostel as a family - come and became a part of our family! Life in the hostel in never boring, every single day brings you a new experience, lovely memories and beautiful people. :)
