We are a Australian / Greek family-run small camping site ( glamping) on Kos island, Greece We opened for the first time in July this year and had a very positive experience with volunteers We are now starting to prepare for the next season and would like to host volunteers again. We offer a shared tent to the volunteers as accommodation.
We offer 2 meals a day, and the basic groceries and facilities to cook your own 3rd meal
We have two different roles depending on the time of the year.
preseason Before May, the work is building our glampsite and getting it clean beautiful and in order to open the season.
During the season May to November, the work is service related through our restaurant to our guests in an operational hotel. The environment and expectations are different between the two so ask for clarify if needed.
During season we offer 3 meals a day as the kitchen is in use all day as a restaurant.
Pre season
Cleaning, painting, gardening, moving and assembling furniture, decoration, sanding and oiling wooden furniture, cleaning and assembling tents etc.
During the season
Serivce of guests at breakfast, making drinks, basic food prep and kitchen cleaning. Laundry, basic housekeeping, some gardening.
Always looking for social media content
We have weekly meetings and updates on site, as we generally have a large team of rotating volunteers both pre and in season.
Work will be delegated and explained each day and followed up on at end of shift.
Preseason we all work the same hours and have the same time off, this allows for good progress report, easy management and a way for our family life to still have some sense of flow.
During the season the family works all the time and volunteers work to a roster to compliment and fill gaps of regular paid staff.
