As a non-profit foundation we are mainly financed through the generosity of donations, we are now attempting to become more self-sufficient by creating several eco-friendly lodges at the base of the river on our farm. For this ambitious task we need a number of motivated individuals to help construct and paint our cabins. This opportunity would also allow you to improve your Spanish speaking skills by working in a Spanish speaking environment.

2 dias libres por semana
Habitación compartida: Tendrás una cama en un cuarto compartido con otros viajeros.

Hello Traveler's, we are Fausto and Alejandra the Owners of Sabia Dog Sanctuary. We have been up and running for 8 years now and we house over 110 dogs!
We started working with volunteers over 2 years ago, which has been an enriching experience that helps with the well-being of the dogs, maintaining and improving the sanctuary facilities as well as assisting in the process of socialisation and rehabilitation to help get the dogs ready for adoption.
We are at the foot of Cotopaxi in a completely rural and natural town, where you can disconnect from the city and spend entertaining afternoons walking and playing with the dogs, or enjoying the river and the hill that surrounds us.
Maintaining the facilities including cleaning and gathering firewood
Help with preparing meals for the doggies and puppies
Walking and playing with the doggies as much as possible!
NO shoes in the house! Please!
Not necessarily a rule but it is advised to bring indoor shoes and also if you like to keep your hands clean we advise you bring some gardening gloves!
