As a member of our small, friendly housekeeping team your duties include helping to clean guest showers, toilets, bedrooms, public & communal areas, external areas, kitchens and dining room. 25 hours of help per week with 2 days off We like our volunteers to stay for at least 3 months.

We offer our volunteers a private bedroom in a lovely country house with breakfast and free use of our laundry in return for 25 hours of help per week. 2 full days off per week. We are situated in rural South Somerset but are near to the local town (Yeovil) with good transport links. Buses are within a 10 to 15-minute walk. As a volunteer, you would join a small team of other volunteers (up to 4).
Shifts are spread across 5 days; each shift being 5 hours in length. A typical shift might involve general cleaning of the venue or guest bedrooms, reception duties (welcoming and looking after our paying guests), and helping with breakfast.
Full training will be given and as this takes time and commitment from us we like our volunteers to stay for at least 3 months.
We ask that volunteers do not smoke in the bedrooms (outside in the garden is fine) and are mindful of the fact that late at night when our paying guests are trying to get to sleep to keep the noise levels down!
