We provide a unique opportunity to really integrate into a small community, and experience life in a small Costa Rican beach/surf town. We have a beautiful hotel with a bar and restaurant that is the social hub of the town. We offer comfortable accommodation, delicious meals, and access to great surf!
Our team is young and we work hard. We expect our volunteers to bring some hustle! We are a close team and we value open, direct communication with one another. We celebrate our successes and learn from our mistakes. We grow together and we treat one another with respect. Our volunteers are treated as one of the team, and our team is like family.

La experiencia en el hotel no podría haber sido mejor, fue mi primer voluntariado y me sentí muy cómoda desde el primer día, las comidas super variadas y ricas. se respetaron horarios de trabajo e incluso cuando tuve necesidad de hacer cambios de turnos fueron super flexibles y comprensibles. el hotel es una familia, realmente volvería, me llevo los mejores recuerdos y lo más importante, amigos❤️. Te lo super recomiendo si queres tener a Playa grande como una segunda casa. El pueblo en sí es muy tranquilo, no hay mucho por hacer pero aún asi te las ingenias. 100% recomendado.

I am super happy I went volunteering for the hotel in Playa Grande! The conditions are as described, and the staff is at the same time professional and laid back. A little side note is that the quantity of food sometimes was not enough for me (I am a sporty person, and I eat a lot). I knew the beach lifestyle is slow, but knowing and experimenting are two different things. I was very bored at first and it took me a few weeks to adapt to the local rhythm, but once I did, I started really enjoying it, and now I am glad to say I have a few new habits that I want to introduce in my "normal" life.

El hotel para mi fue una experiencia increíble, desde que llegas te hacen sentir como en casa y eso fue de lo más lindo, vives literal a 5 minutos caminando de la playa y tienes mucho tiempo para disfrutar y conocer, las habitaciones son muy cómodas, la comida riquísima y el tiempo de trabajo y los descansos son tal como lo dice en la descripción, para mi lo mejor de esta experiencia fueron las personas que conocí allá, me divertí muchísimo y lo super recomiendo!!

El hotel fue mi primera experiencia voluntariando y no pudo haber sido mejor. El trabajo cumple con lo establecido, las habitaciones y el baño perfectos, las voluntarias con las que compartí fueron un 10 y la gente que trabaja en el hotel igual, todos dispuestos a que te sientas como en casa y ayudarte en lo que sea. Si estás dudando en postularte en este voluntariado, hacelo! Fue perfecto, el hotel por siempre en mí, gracias. Algo negativo que puedo decir, es que en el tiempo libre playa grande es muy pequeño y talvez se torna aburrido con el tiempo, si trabajas remoto tenes tiempo para hacerlo.

My experience at the hotel was really good. The team is incredibly supportive, and even though the work can sometimes feel a little demanding, they're always there to help and make sure everything runs smoothly. The working hours are definitely worth it. The food provided is amazing, and both the rooms and bathroom are in good conditions. One thing to keep in mind is that playa grande is a bit remote, so there isn't a lot to do besides enjoying the beach. Overall, I'd rate this experience 10/10! The facilites, the people, the food and the beach all exceeding my expectations! Hope to be back soon!
