In your free time you can visit tourist places like hacienda napoles, Armero guayabal do ecotourism, visit termales, play Soccer, go to the waterfalls, go to some farms to relax etc.
We are 7 teachers. First of all, we help volunteers by providing housing and a help with food. You will also get to know our Colombian culture, typical food, travel to different places and help children and young people have a better future by learning a new language. Also, if workawayers want to learn spanish, we can help them. We have different places to visit (waterfalls, rivers, cultural towns like Honda and in Colombia this is the only place where you can enjoy a cool weather and if you go 30 minutes you can enjoy hot weather....you can do horseriding and if workawayers like farms we can take them to a farm to enjoy the weather, animals and hiking

It was incredible! from the start our host made us fell like home. the school is nice, theres a small training session at the start so we ware confortable doing the job (conversation classes mostly) highly recomend the experience, we stayed 2 weeks and we wish we could stay more, the accomodation was great, some of them have AC and others have fans to help to cool down. the kitchen is very helpful for a daily cooking but buy food is cheap too when needed. the students often invited us for their social activities like sports, bars or restaurants. we already miss the host and teachers

Volunteering at the school has been an absolute pleasure. Eduin and everyone who works there went above and beyond to making sure we had a good experience. No day here felt like a working day. Everyday spent with the local children was a memory to cherish forever. We helped with the English of the students but we also learned about them, connected with them and they learned about us, a new country maybe they didn't know anything about. A big big thank you to everyone for an incredible experience. We hope to see you all again in the future whether that's in a different country or back here

First, I want to thank my host for giving me the opportunity to volunteer as an English teacher. I had a great time with the students—they were kind and eager to learn. I would love to come back again. This is a small town, but the people are very honest and friendly. The food is also more affordable compared to big cities. I made many great memories here, especially with the students. I also want to thank the staff at the school Institute—they were very helpful and had a great sense of humor. Overall, I am very grateful for this experience.

First, and most importantly, everyone at the school is wonderful – I could not have asked for a warmer or more welcoming staff and faculty. The students are also adorable, and my favorite part was getting to talk to them about their lives, culture, and dreams. If you're someone who likes to travel and hike a lot, this is the Workaway for you. But if you're someone who prefers to immerse yourself in a community, it can be challenging. You only see most students once or twice a month, and the staff is usually too busy to socialize, meaning you're mostly left on your own.

My experience with Politecnico Superior was AMAZING! This was my first true experience spending time alone in another country, so I had my set of nerves, but within just a few days, I felt right at home. Eduin is a great host, and even better person! He went out of his way to be accommodating, and helped provide great experiences within the country. The people at the school and in the town were awesome, and I felt very safe while living here for almost 2 months. I would recommend this experience for anyone who is looking to make a difference in other people's lives.

Joseph is an excellent person, he is very responsable, proactive, on time and creative. It was an amazing experience. Our students and teachers really enjoyed the time he was with us. All the time he was ready to help us, because he is very friendly, children and students in general loved his english classes. I highly recommend Joseph.
