Pustaka Bambu

Adonara Island is located in the eastern cluster of the Flores archipelago along with Solor, Lembata and Alor in East Nusa Tenggara Province. In addition to having natural beauty such as Meko's embossed sand island, Bat Island, volcanoes, tropical forests, waterfalls, coconut plantations and several traditional villages, Adonara also has a huge potential for human resources which is reflected in the culture and customs as well as the daily life of the community.

The young generation in Adonara needs a touch more through alternative education, to be able to continue to grow and develop, maintaining the balance of nature for their future. Becoming a volunteer at Pustaka Bambu is the right choice for those of you who want to travel to enjoy the beauty of the east side of Flores Island, while doing good things for others. Local volunteers from Pustaka Bambu can help you explore the many beautiful places on the islands of Adonara, Solor and Lembata. We also network with various environmental projects such as coral reef conservation and turtle conservation on Lembata and Solor Islands.

I am Andri Ata Goran, the founder of the Pustaka Bambu Community. I am a journalist who focuses on educational, ecological and cultural issues. Some of our friends are local environmental activists and youth. We can be good friends for you to dive deeper into the social life of the community, discover new experiences in our place and enjoy every moment together. A wide range of knowledge and discussion together after breakfast, lunch or dinner, is always an impressive experience for every guest who visits our place. All of these experiences will be a good capital for our community to continue to grow together while caring for nature.
