You will learn all the ins- & outs of running a bar in a hostel: prepare and serve breakfast, make drinks in the bar and help with (group) events. We host people from all over Europe and although we are Dutch, the main language spoken in the hostel is English. So if you are looking to improve your English and work within an energetic, fun, and genuine team that feels more like a family, than this is the best place to be! :)

I can only recommend to spend your time abroad volunteering at the hostel. I would do it all over again without any hesitation. The whole staff is so open and lovely and are also more than willing to introduce you to the culture or help you to figure out what exciting things you could do in your freetime. Speaking of the tasks, I also really enjoyed working the breakfast and bar shifts. I had the pleasure of receiving a great introduction to the different working steps and whenever I had any questions I could always ask for help and support :) Once again, thank you for everything! <3

This was my forth time at the hostel! Tilburg has become my home, and the staff has become my second family. If you're wondering if you should give it a shot, I'm here to tell you: you should!

If you're indecisive whether this is the best volunteering experience for a first time, you don't have to. the hostel will welcome you with open arms and make you miss them like a second family when you leave. I couldn't recommend a better place, the work is manageable and often ended earlier, the staff is exceptional and it's easy to travel on your days off since it's close to the station. The best thing is the connections you make with the other volunteers, from all around the world, the shared experiences, the laughs and the fun nights. Thank you for everything!! See you soon 💕

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel. The experience was enriching in so many ways. I met amazing people from all over the world, learnt about different cultures, improved my English, learnt new skills about the day to day of running a hostel, etc. Besides, I felt welcome since the moment I got there. Volunteers, the staff and the owners were all really nice and friendly and that made me feel very comfortable. During my month there, the hostel felt like a 2nd home and that's why I would highly recommend this experience. Forever grateful and I wish you all the best❤️
