Ursula is a phenomenal human being who is passionate about helping dogs in her community. Seeing her work in advocacy for better resources for dogs in the shelter and seeing her take care of the dogs was truly inspiring. The work is hard and can be dirty but it can be very rewarding. The two weeks I spent volunteering at the shelter was very rewarding. ¡Gracias, Ursula!

Volunteering at the shelter rescate was very fulfilling: we could see the impact our efforts had on the dogs in care and on the wonderful people running the organization. We got to meet other volunteers and the locals who help out at the shelter. We stayed at a nearby hostel with a generous discount (private room or dorm were available). Úrsula is a kind and caring host, she made her expectations clear and was understanding and flexible when I wasn't feeling well and needed a day off. That being said, the work is not for the faint of heart: roll up your sleeves and get ready to be dirty!

Uchi was an incredible host who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome in the shelter. She cares so much about the shelter and is doing amazing work within the community. I couldn't recommend this experience more.

Uchi is an incredible host, she's always kind and helpful, it was really a pleasure meeting and working with her. This dog shelter has every kind of dog you can possibly imagine, and each one of them is super sweet! My days in the shelter passed so quickly, i loved staying there and we even took some of the doggies on a walk on the beach. I met other great volunteers and overall it was a great experience 🥰
