How can I start? Well, my experience in the hostel was pretty intense. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean intense in a bad way, but while I was there I've experienced highs and lows. Being there was magical, but demanded a lot from me. At the same time, I met so many nice people and I've learned new stuff thanks to the host. What to say about Dave? I'd say that he has one of the kindest hearts I've ever met (hidden in an thick-skinned man). He is funny, crazy, but he is always there for you in his own way. He is like a father, that sometimes you hate, but most of the times you love. Tks guys!

The volunteering in the guest house was my first worldpackers experience and it was one of the best things I did in my life. Sammy was kind and pretty attentive with me. There I worked as the social media manager of the B&B and the Restaurant and I really loved how he valued my work and how I could share a little of my knowledge with him. Besides this, the astonishing landscape of the guest house is certainly a plus. I also would never forget the friends I made while I was working. Highly Recommended!

About me as an author

So, I guess here I need to share a bit of my story. Traveling the world was always a dream, but I just could do it during my vacations in a 9 to 5 job. Last year, I decided to do everything different in my life and try new things. Volunteering was among the stuff I tried and it is being rewarding. Sometimes it is tough, of course. After all, you are dealing with people, different cultures, but surprisingly enough, these things turn the experience so magical. I've been to more than 30 countries so car (and counting), and for me it is not like a competition. For me it is about achievement. So, if you are reading my profile, I think you should give a chance for volunteering work.

Background

Education

I hold a bachelor degree in Social Communications and I've been working in this area over the past 8 years. I'm Brazilian, but I'm currently living in Ireland. I have a dream to become a digital nomad, so I left my job in Brazil to pursuit this dream. I'm full of energy and disposition and love for everything I do.

Work experience

I was head of communications in the Brazilian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. There I held this position for 8 eight years, where I could have experience in public relations, digital marketing, social media, customers services, among other skills.

Recently I'm working as content writer producing some articles about travelling for blogs in Brazil.

Travel experience

Till now I've been in more than 20 countries, mainly in South America and Europe. I don't collect destinations, but every experience I've lived in all of these countries made me stronger, patient and kind. I'm in Ireland now and I don't have experience working in hostel yet, but I'm pretty good with customers service since I work in an online travel agency in my free time.
