Verified and responsive hosts
Our team reviews each and every new host before approving them to join our community, and we keep an eye on them to guarantee their engagement and the quality of their exchanges.
Confirm your trips and make a formal agreement with your host including dates, activities, hours, and benefits.
If anything doesn’t go as you agreed to on our site, our team can help you to find a new host or reimburse you for accommodation in a hostel. Learn more.

Yearly :) You only pay for your plan one time to get all of its benefits for the full validity of your plan.
Do I have to pay any more fees to use the site?
Absolutely not. You won’t be charged anything else at all during the time you use Worldpackers, no matter how many applications you send out, the number of trips you take, or how much content you consume
Some specific hosts request an extra collaboration fee to contribute to their institution/NGO, or to help with costs to make your experience even more rewarding. Make sure to discuss this kind of information with your host before confirming your trip. Learn more.
Will I be charged automatically after my plan expires?
Don’t worry. We’ll never renew your plan automatically, so you’ll only be charged one time. We’ll reach out to you when your plan is about to expire, and the decision to renew it or not is entirely up to you :)
How do the Couples/Friends plans work?
The Couples/Friends plans were designed especially for those who want to volunteer together with a travel companion. Only one of you needs to pay, and then you can invite your companion. You will then both be able to apply to and confirm trips together during the full validity of your plan. In other words, you will not be able to apply individually.

What if I don’t get a response from hosts?
We work hard to make sure our community hosts are always responsive. However, they do receive a lot of applications, and they need to pick volunteers that are the best fit for their projects.
So to increase your chances of being accepted, make your profile nice and complete, earn certificates in our Academy, and apply to multiple hosts that you can identify with.
And of course, our support team can also help you to find new volunteer opportunities and give you more tips to increase your chances.
