We the People of Hostel Fish believe that a hostel of backpackers, by backpackers, and for backpackers, shall be a fun, safe, spotless, high-end joint that is Classy as F…(ish!). We are focused on the traveler and the traveler's needs and believe something being affordable should still offer exemplary service and more than expected perks. We believe that shared rooms and neo-urbanism, when combined, create an epicenter for those "seekers of life's adventures" to meet each other and foster new friendships. We're stoked to host you. We're jazzed to have you as our guest. We're here for you and always want to hear your thoughts or suggestions on how we can improve your experience.

This volunteering opportunity was alright, at best. I slept at the top of a 3 bed bunk-bed and had no light, outlet, curtain, or stand to place my items on. Other beds in room were better equipped. Other facilities like the showers and bar on site were nice, so I will give credit there. However, for the level of effort needed to fulfill some of the duties, particularly cleaning shifts, I just don't think the value proposition is worth it. Oh and right as I was leaving, there were multiple reported cases of theft. I left after two weeks and the broken lock on our door never got fixed.

The hostel is located in the heart of downtown Denver, close to where all the nightlife and tourism happens. I'm grateful to have met some very interesting people, some whom have become close friends (hopefully for a lifetime!). The hostel keeps you busy during your shifts, but that is for only 3 days of the week, the rest of the time you are free to explore as you please. If anyone has any questions, feel free to DM me!

It's a nice hostel. If you're okay with being in the heart of downtown, getting busy game days, and being sociable..this will be great for you! I'd definitely recommend if you enjoy a more fast paced environment. Amazing for meeting new people and improving your night life. Owners are sweet and accommodating.
