House in San Giovanni
È una delle case più leggendarie della parte orientale di Napoli. Una vasta comunità di amici, artisti e viaggiatori soggiorna in questa casa dal 2006. È piena di buone vibrazioni e amore ed è una delle "case" del Bus Theater, un incredibile progetto di arte performativa itinerante. Ah sì... c'è una delle migliori viste sul mare e sul Vesuvio.....
Vorremmo iniziare un nuovo progetto, trasformando uno dei nostri appartamenti in una residenza artistica permanente. Questo aiuterà a sostenere il nostro centro culturale per le arti viaggianti (Macadam), potendo ospitare artisti e piccole aziende.
Al momento siamo interessati ad ospitare worldpackers che abbiano buone abilità manuali e idee su come gestire una ristrutturazione, sfruttare al meglio lo spazio e, quindi, nutrire la nostra comunità creativa.

L'esperienza è stata semplicemente meravigliosa! Ho avuto l'opportunità di aiutare con l'allestimento e la preparazione di spettacoli e workshop per il teatro itinerante, vivendo in prima persona tutta la magia che avviene dietro le scene. Inoltre, ho avuto la fortuna di vivere a Napoli, una città incredibile piena di energia e umanità. La casa era grande e accogliente, con una terrazza che offriva una vista sull'intera città. Ho sempre avuto cibo e tutto ciò di cui potrei aver bisogno disponibile. Un ringraziamento speciale a Ilaria, che è stata una meravigliosa padrona di casa. Raccomando vivamente questa esperienza a chi ama l'arte, il teatro e le realtà autentiche.

This was my first volunteer work and it was amazing! I felt very welcomed, thanks to the host and the people living there, I could learn about the Neapolitan culture and really immerse myself. About the work, I didn't do much in the theater but helped with cleaning in general. I had a lot of free time to explore the city of Naples!

Illaria was a good host. The house was a little run down with a few things that were broken in a slightly ghetto part of town. The work was different than described, more so extra help with events that they ran and the hours were based on how many events there were in a particular week but never exceeded the listed hours. It was an interesting experience of Napoli life

Mi experiencia en la casa de Ilaria fue muy positiva. Tanto Ilaria, como Chris y Pimenta fueron personas amables y respetuosas. Las tareas del voluntariado fueron amenas y tuve mucho tiempo para conocer la ciudad de Nápoles y sus costumbres, aprendí mucho sobre la cultura local y me sentí como una habitante más. Gracias por la experiencia, me llevo un gran recuerdo.

This is my first worldpackers experience but i think it will always be my favorite. Ilaria is a wonderful human and it's inspiring to see her bring art to her community. The job is fun and easy, and the schedule is flexible. I felt at home and loved spending time on the balcony that overlooks Mt Vesuvius. I had wonderful conversation with everyone living and visiting at the house. The city of Napoli might not be for everyone, but i enjoyed it and am happy to have learned so much about its history, and there's lots to do on days off. I hope to come back again in the future!
