Lazy Tiger Hostel
The atmosphere is laid back, the hostel is brand new (and clean) and Asheville is a cool place to explore! We just opened in September 2023 - so come be a part of building something new and leave your mark.
We are a very small team and thus, I'm very involved. I clean more toilets than anyone else on staff and want everyone on the team to be happy and content with their work.

Ryan (and OF COURSE Chloe!) truly have the sweetest of hearts. Ryan puts all of himself into making sure that the hostel, the guests, and the staff are comfortable and well taken care of! His expectations were laid out clearly from the beginning and he spent ample time training! He never made me feel stupid for asking questions and encouraged me to keep asking, learning and growing! He also held true to the work schedule (4hrs/day, 3-4 days/week) which allowed for plenty of time exploring Asheville! I loved meeting travelers from across the world and helping to ensure their superb vacations!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I really enjoyed it! The hours and tasks were fair, accommodations were safe and cozy, and I found it easy to immerse myself and get to know other travelers. Ryan is a wonderful host and very involved, and it's apparent that he puts a lot of care and attention to detail into what he does. He was clear with instructions for housekeeping, and supportive of my mosaic idea for the art side which was super exciting! The vibe at the hostel is homey, and it's the cleanest one I've stayed at. Chloe was the best addition who made each day sweeter too :)

My experience with the hostel was great! It's easy hours and the hostel is adorable, clean, and comfortable. Asheville itself is a super cute town with local shops and lots of live music! Plenty to do, Ryan (and Chloe of course) are great, I definitely recommend this experience :)

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel. Ryan was incredibly welcoming and made sure I felt comfortable with everything from day one. The hours were perfect and still gave me plenty of time to explore the amazing downtown area. 🔅 Meeting new people and stepping out of my comfort zone was one of the best parts, and the guests were all so wonderful. And of course, coming home to Chloe the dog made everything even sweeter. This place truly felt like home, and I had an absolute blast. I'd go back in a heartbeat. 🏠 10/10

Absolutely amazing experience, Ryan was super welcoming from the start and easy to talk to about anything, gave me recommendations on where to go nearby and what to do. As far as the work goes it was super straightforward and easy and the atmosphere was amazing. Its easy to tell that lot of work and time has been put into making sure both the work exchange experience and the experience of the guests are amazing, 10/10, thank you for everything Ryan!
