Why here?
Firstly Le Vigan is the center of tourism for the South Cevennes and the scenery is simply stunning. It is a town of Music and muscians, of artista and exhibitions. There are 7 bars and most are also restaurants. This town has a history going way back beyond the Romans and this house I have was part of the barracks which housed the Dragoons. (use of dragoons was the 1681 Dragonnades, a policy instituted by Louis XIV to intimidate Huguenot families into either leaving France)
I am truly a world traveler have been to All the main Pacific oceah and Pacific rim countries, North and South Americas, parts of Asia and overland from India to the UK, Scandinavia, all Europe, Russia and Iberia and across North Africa.
I am a sculptor by profession but originally a drafrsman, then an engineering designer, technical writewr and a licenced builder. BUT NOW I AM A SCULPTOR.

My Experience at Chez Morgan's was really good. The tasks were mainly building related and included laying a laminate floor in one of his bedrooms. The real treat with this Worldpacker experience is exploring Le Vigan and meeting Morgan's friends, of which there are many. The town dates back centuries with lots of narrow streets incorporating three story houses . The local market is excellent and you can stroll around and practice your French language skills with the vendors. It's a proper French experience, croissants in the morning and red wine with Dejeuner. I highly recommend this stay.

First experience as work exchange and it was great. Le Vigan is such a great town to wind down. There's a lot of nature all around and a beautiful river with waterfalls nearby. Morgan is an excellent host and the work is very reasonable. There's accommodation was also very comfortable. I would definitely return.

I had a good experience. Morgan is a very friendly person. He is flexible & easy to get along with. He is very welcoming & open-minded. If you would like to explore that region of France & immerse into local community don't hesitate to do it.

El lugar tiene transporte público y económico, el super mercado está a 5 minutos,la casa está céntrica y hay restaurantes a lado y hay un mercado comunitario muy versátil y hay bancos. Hay un rio muy bonito donde puedes ir a nadar. El señor Morgan es atento flexible.

Morgan is a great host and Le Vigan is a great place! The tasks were satisfactory. We couldn't get the materials to work on renovations, so we helped with food preparation and other simple tasks like cleaning. He's a great host with whom we shared many moments of conversation, outings, and interesting stories. We saw his creative process with his beautiful sculptures. We escaped the extreme European heat thanks to the beautiful river that runs through the village. Lots of culture, music, and friendly people to share it with. A great experience for bohemians; it's not an Airbnb.
