Parc Nature Gaspé
Ciao,
Mi chiamo Charly (28 anni) e lavoro per un campeggio chiamato Parc Nature Gaspé. Abbiamo anche una pizzeria napoletana tradizionale (il nostro chef Vincenzo viene dall'Italia). Il campeggio è circondato da foreste e siamo all'interno del Parco Nazionale Forillon. Sono venuto qui 3 anni fa come volontario e non sono mai andato via.
Quest'anno sto cercando volontari che parlano francese e/o inglese e sono interessati alla comunicazione con i clienti.
A seconda delle esigenze, potrebbero essere proposte le seguenti missioni:
- quest'anno apriremo un cafe/museo a Gaspé sul tema dei videogiochi retro e lo staff potrebbe avere bisogno di una mano
- aiuto al ristorante
- aiuto al gioco di lancio di asce
- pulizie e reception del campeggio
Siamo a pochi minuti dal parco nazionale Forillon. Durante i vostri giorni di riposo, potete fare un'escursione in cerca di balene, orsi e alci. La spiaggia è a soli 800 metri, potete nuotare, fare kayak per incontrare le colonie di foche.
Lo staff è internazionale (francesi, québécois, italiano, argentino, brasiliano, inglese e finora québécois). Parliamo un mix di francese e inglese, quindi se parli inglese, è un bel vantaggio.
Abbiamo una casa proprio di fronte al campeggio con diverse camere. A seconda del numero di workawayers, potresti essere portato a condividere una camera (abbiamo 2 camere con 2 letti singoli e 1 camera con un letto singolo). Abbiamo anche roulotte al campeggio che possono essere usate. Per il cibo ti forniremo un budget per acquistare ciò che vuoi al negozio di alimentari. Mangiamo spesso al ristorante quindi spero che ti piaccia la pizza :D

I had an amazing experience in the camping!!! Charly is an amazing person who cares a lot about volunteers and makes you feel welcome. The hours were always respected, and he is really flexible in helping you to get to know the place because he offers to take you to the park in car. The campsite is really pretty and the job that is done there is really physical, but overall satisfying in the end. You just have to take into consideration that the house where you will sleep is a shared house by about 8 people, so you need to be open minded about sharing common spaces. incredible experience!!

This was my first experience as a Worldpackers traveler and I couldn't be happier!! Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The work is super flexible depending on your skills and you can choose your days off. The accommodation was great, I had a room with my friend, in a shared house. The beach is very close and there are beautiful hiking trails. I made some amazing new friends! It really felt like home away from home. I had such a great time, I would recommend 100%!

My bestfriend and I spent two weeks at the camping in July, and we had the best time! Charly is super nice and flexible, and we quickly became close with the other friendly volunteers. We never worked more than the amount of hours we initially agreed on and mostly finished early. The work itself was exactly like what we had been told prior to our stay, mostly cleaning and maintenance around the campsite. The area is beautiful and the view of the mountains from the campsite is insane + the beach is walking distance… Great place to stay! :)

I absolutely adored my time at the camping! The team was so friendly and welcoming, I honestly can't wait to see them all again. The work is super flexible depending on your skills and what you're interested in, and you can choose when you'd like your days off too. Accommodation was ideal, you get a private room in a shared house, and of course the national park is just down the road and the beach is basically next door. I had such a great time I've already planned to come back to work another month. I would 100% recommend !

I'm very happy and lucky with my experience at the camping. Charly is an amazing person, really committed with the camping and the volunteers, he become like an old brother. The house is very good and I had my own room. I started working in the camp side, cleaning and arranging the area, but then I become a server at the restaurant, where I met and talk with a lot of clients from everywhere in the world (also, I developed even more my french and english. BONUS: learning italian with the chef of the restaurant). the camping become like a family to me and I want to be back!
