Santander Central Hostel
Our hostel is the perfect opportunity to spend some time for free in one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.
The hostel has been opened for 6 seasons now... and we areprobably the most authentic "backpacker" hostel in town... We want to keep the sense of adventure because we are backpackers ourselves... and we still love it !!!
My name is Angel. I am a hospitality manager with many years of international experience. Our hostel pretends to be a relaxing place for those who need a rest while enjoying this fantastic city. The working environment at the hostel is quite relaxed. Volunteers are part of our family, and as part of a family we do care for each other. We are a team that takes care of our guests in a sincere way. Do you want to be part of it? :)

I had a beautiful month at the hostel! Ángel really makes an effort to make you feel welcome and at home! The hours and tasks were respected, and as I study Tourism, I especially appreciated how much I was able to learn from him. In general, the whole team is made up of such kind and welcoming people, and I really enjoyed being part of it. Santander itself is a beautiful place to spend your time, with both the city and nature so close by. It was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend coming here to volunteering. Thank u for everything & hasta siempre! 🤍

Xenia ha sido fantástica en todos los sentidos. Ha demostrado ser una voluntaria muy divertida, trabajadora y responsable. Tenemos la certeza de que será una gran profesional en la Industria del Turismo... Mucha suerte !! Nos ha gustado mucho tener a Xenia en casa. Hasta siempre !!!!

I have absolutely loved my time at the hostel and am so sad to leave. I felt right at home with the whole team and absolutely loved working with them. They are all so kind and welcoming and made me feel like a part of their hostel family. They were all so incredibly helpful and gave great recommendations. The hostel is clean, well organized, and runs smoothly. Santander is a beautiful city and amazing to explore during time off, I had so many amazing new experiences during my time here. I can't wait to come back and visit!! I can't thank you all enough for this experience!

Mon expérience au l'auberge de jeunesse a été une très belle expérience et j'en suis ravie. Les tâches présentées étaient celles que nous avions a faire et cela nous laissait beaucoup de temps pour profiter de la ville et des différentes activités à faire a Santander. Angel s'est investi pour que nous passions le meilleur séjour possible et que nous ayons une bonne expérience. Un point qu'il faut toutefois savoir est que la chambre n'a pas de fenêtre et qu'il est donc difficile d'aérer l'espace où l'on dort même s'il est fort agréable d'avoir un espace réservé aux volontaires.

My time in Santander was great overall. The hostel is well located in the center. The shifts are very easy and quick and you have one day off. Angel really makes an effort and cares about whether you feel good at the hostel. It was super fun to meet new people every day and I made some great friends. Ximena was also super lovely and I enjoyed working with her a lot. The nature around Santander is beautiful and I loved going on hikes in the area. You just need to be aware that the room you share with the other volunteer does not have a window and it can get stuffy at night.

I absolutely loved my time in Santander and couldn't recommend this experience enough! The hostel is lovely and is located right in the centre, making it easy to get to and explore once there. We were given our own private room which was great and I met lots of amazing people, including Angel (owner) and Ximena (manager when Angel's not there). I love love love Ximena, who I spent the majority of my work hours with, and I cannot emphasise enough how unbelievably kind and generous Angel was towards us volunteers. It was clear how much he cared about us and made sure we had the best experience!!
