Travelers choose to volunteer with us because our boutique guesthouse offers a peaceful and authentic experience in the beautiful region of Guria, close to both the sea and the mountains. It’s a perfect place for people who enjoy nature, simple living, and meaningful cultural exchange.
Volunteers become part of a small international community where they can share meals, connect with guests and travelers, and enjoy the calm rhythm of life in the countryside. With vegetarian meals, a welcoming atmosphere, and beautiful surroundings, it’s a great place to relax, contribute, and experience local life.
We are a small and friendly team who enjoy hosting travelers from around the world. Our goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable and respected.
Volunteers are treated as part of our community. We value kindness, cooperation, and open communication. We appreciate the help volunteers provide and aim to create a positive and relaxed atmosphere where everyone can learn from each other and enjoy their time here.

I spent 3 weeks at the guest house G alongside Petr and a great team of volunteers. It was fun and very well managed. The property met my expectations: a very nice, remote place to rest and plan the rest of my journey. As for the work, I mainly did some cleaning of the public areas, cooking equipment and dishes, and occasionally some cooking. The team was good and it made it fun. Maybe it was the time of the year and some volunteers did cancel last minute but there were times when we were short staffed and put in more work than I was initially hoping for. Still, a very enjoyable experience :)

My experience was really beautiful. It is a wonderful place, away from the city, surrounded by nature and lots of animals that you can love. I really enjoyed the experience with the other volunteers, meeting Petr and his family, and getting to know people from all over the world who were staying there. I also really enjoyed cooking and sharing meals. Georgian people are very welcoming, and Georgia is such a green and magical place. I would definitely recommend this experience in the guest house Gardes to other travellers!

My experience at the guest house was thoroughly satisfying. It is a very peaceful place with beautiful views of the Black Sea and the sunsets. The presence of the nine cats and the people living there makes it even more special. Petr is a wonderful host who made me feel right at home; I am also very grateful to him for allowing me to teach my tango classes there. I hope to return someday.

My experience at the guest house was just perfect. Petr the owner, and his family live on the property and make this place feel like home. I volunteered with a small group of 4-5 volunteers, what gives an opportunity to really connect. The work is agreed upon and fair, you do cooking or cleaning or other tasks in the guesthouse. The location is beautiful and calm. Thank you very much!

I truly had the best time at the guest house! Petr and his wife Varya were great hosts and made me feel at home instantly. The work mostly consisted of cleaning public areas and the kitchen, as well as helping with breakfast and dinner. Tasks for the day are agreed upon alltogether and preferences are respected. The guesthouse is surrounded by nature and you can see that lots of love went into creating a beautiful place. I would always come back again!!
