I had a mixed experience. Nelson was wonderful, always offering to take me around and helping with whatever I needed. The work was not hard, but I felt like they were trying to come up with tasks to fill my time. I had fun getting to know members of the community, especially the kids. The food was plentiful but not very nutritious, lacking in protein and vegetables. I had a couple of uncomfortable experiences with Nelson's family. His brother hit on me and breached some physical boundaries, and his mother seemed to be watching me and other guests through the security camera.

Nelson is very kind person with lots of knowledge. I worked mostly with his brother in the garden with plants. They are both very chill, respectful of nature and talkative people. The place is on the mountains in nature close to a lake and around 40 minutes with the bus from Huaraz.
