We are a family living in the beautiful village of Herand in the middle of Hardanger. We live close to the fjord and have an accounting firm and a software company that we live off of + some rental of beds in the summer. We have a small greenhouse and a small farm where we have some vegetables. Summer is a busy time and we need 2-3 positive people to help us with different work.

"It's so peaceful," Christian said a few times, and by the end I understood exactly why. He and Bjørg became family to me, exactly the belonging I needed after two years on the road. I felt God so close there, in the quiet, in the details of every day. Bjørg's incredible dinners by the lake, sauna talks with Christian, fishing from the little boat, kayaking the fjord, hiking the cold mountain air, the whole family singing in church, so happy and harmonious together. I leave carrying a warmth in my heart, closer to God than ever. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I had wonderful time here. Thank you so much for everything ! Their house is in a beautiful village with amazing fjords. In my free time I went to hiking swam in the fjords,tried SUP, and road a bike. there are many fun things to do. Working hours were always fair. I clean the guest house washed the sheets and towels, and helped with farm work . They let me use everything I needed, so I had no problems during my stay. The best part was the food.They cooked delicious Norwegian food every day. I loved the food so much that I always had a second helping.

I had a wonderful time in Herand. I would highly recommend Christian and Bjørg as very responsible and kind hosts. During my free time, I enjoyed swimming, kayaking, hiking, and cycling to nearby places. I also started knitting, with Bjørg's kind help and encouragement. After the delicious dinners that Bjørg prepared, it was a real pleasure to spend time talking with the hosts and learning new things about Norway.

We had the great pleasure of hosting Ksenij, and her stay with us was a truly positive experience. She showed responsibility, reliability, and a genuine willingness to help. She completed every task with care and dedication, and her positive attitude made working together both easy and enjoyable.
We wholeheartedly recommend Ksenij to any future host. She is welcome back here anytime, and we wish her all the best in her upcoming travels and projects.

I really enjoyed my stay. The working hours were very fair and always respected as agreed beforehand. For me, it was a great mix between preparing apartments for new guests and doing some gardening. Herand is a very nice and charming little village. Christian and Bjørg are wonderful hosts – friendly, openminded, and fair. Every evening they prepared a very tasty dinner, which we all enjoyed together. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I'm really grateful for.

Great experience in Herand, Norway! We spent a few weeks there and the family was incredibly kind and welcoming, just as described. The work was light and enjoyable: mornings doing simple tasks like cleaning, afternoons helping in the garden and with farm work — a fun way to try new things. Herand is breathtaking, with fjords, mountains, waterfalls, and endless hiking trails. We highly recommend this peaceful place with delicious food, lovely hosts, and beautiful moments in nature. Perfect to slow down and connect. Thanks for everything — we'll never forget it, truly magical and special!

Hosting Alba in July was a wonderful experience for us. From the very start she showed great commitment, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to contribute wherever needed. She was proactive, reliable, and always willing to go the extra mile.
