We've tons of jobs on the 'must get around to fixing / making that' list, and of course caring for the dogs takes priority so these things just pile up. You will need a decent level of DIY skills, be competent and safe with power tools, and not be scared of dogs! At times we may not have things to make or fix, so then you'd be helping with the dogs alongside the other volunteers - walking, grooming, cleaning up after etc.

A truly inspiring first WorldPackers experience! From the start, Sarah was very helpful and always available to give guidance. As long as you truly care and put in your best effort, you'll make a difference and learn SO much. Sarah has organized instructions and makes it easy to keep track of what needs to be done. I've never met someone so passionate and dedicated to a cause. the project could not be in better hands! Bansko is so beautiful and the project (and cats!) are some of the loveliest I've ever met! One month went too fast, but I'll never forget it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

This was my first ever Worldpackers trip and it was absolutely amazing!! Sarah is very helpful with anything you need and I instantly felt welcomed by her. the project are all absolutely amazing and as long as you respect them in their space you will have an amazing time. Sarah puts her heart and soul into the project and you can tell just from how happy they all are. Some days are more tiring than others but that comes with every job. Bansko is a lovely wee town and everything is easy to walk to. I can't recommend this shelter enough it was an absolutely incredible experience!! :))

The project you spend your days with in Bansko are clever, sweet and gentle. Given that there are only very few the project at the shelter you make a very close connection with each of them. While there you learn lots about enrichment and socialising practices while spending your free time in the beautiful town of Bansko. Sarah is very kind and passionate and so long as you're willing to work hard you'll have an amazing time. Thank you for everything!!

My best volunteer experience so far! Sarah is 1000% committed to the project and the project. The accommodations are great and the hours are respected. Everything is for the project, and it's noticeable how much they are loved. Sarah was always very open to changing some schedules to give me more time for other activities like snowboarding or exploring the city. I'll miss all the project (especially Molly and Enya). I hope to return someday and help more next time 🫡

It was my first Worldpackers experience and I really enjoyed it! :) All the project and the cat are so lovely and just need love! I really appreciated spending time with all of them!! You work for 4 hours, doing cleaning, walking, and spending time with the project. There's always something to do, and everything is very well organized. Thank you to Sarah, Desi, and Nick!! :)
