We're looking for help at our backpackers hostel/home, in Machynlleth. Its a quirky and unusual with a relaxed creative atmosphere. We are offering private accommodation, communal use of the kitchen and bathroom, Wifi and food, in exchange for roughly 25 hrs of help per week. We need help with all aspects of the hostel. This could include cooking a meal together, laundry, feeding the hens/cat, cleaning, playing music, gardening, or anything!

I had a really brilliant time in the host. Working at Brynawel taught me lots of new things; I really pushed myself and discovered a side to myself that I'd never expected. Will and Lou are two really kind, funny, and friendly people who welcome everyone with open arms. They create an environment where you feel safe and welcome. The work was also really fun, especially as you're usually with other volunteers and get to meet new people. The town is in a really lovely location and, alongside work, you also have plenty of time to yourself. It really was an unforgettable time! <3

Will and Lou are wonderful! Always very patient and kind. They always included me and the other volunteers in activities like outings and pub visits. I really loved being part of this experience. The activities are relaxed, the town is small, but everything is close by, and the people are very polite. The money that Will offers is also very helpful. Wales surprised me, and I really want to go back.
