Whether the lodge is the right place for you depends on you. If you are traveling with a tourist mindset and are not prepared to make small sacrifices or accept nature as it is, then this may not be the ideal destination for you. As it is set in a natural environment, you may encounter mosquitoes and various insects; while the accommodation is simple, it is adequate. The tasks can also be repetitive and physically demanding. It is a rewarding experience to contribute to a place that is still a work in progress, and you will have the opportunity to see how they strive to improve.

I had a great stay. The team is made up of humble and welcoming people who invite you not only to learn about their culture, but to truly experience it. Madame Kam is a very wise woman, and she can teach you and introduce you to many new things. Some of the tasks require quite a lot of physical effort and can be pretty exhausting. However, I still think the experience is worth it. The volunteer facilities are basic, but you can enjoy the amenities in the main house, as well as the swimming pool, sports court, library, and all the beautiful nature around you.
