We are a family located in rural Suffolk. We have a house and property dating back to the 1640's. At one stage it was a local Inn (pub) ! So it’s full of character and history. We are a family of 5, with 3 children. We have ponies, chickens, 2 dog and a cat ! It's a busy life, but we live healthily, enjoying growing our own produce and maintaining a wild ecosystem. Lots of outdoor work and separate house provided. Couple preferred

We stayed at the Pink House with my partner Ana and hada really lovely experience. James and his family were so welcoming from the very beginning and made us feel at home straight away. We really enjoyed spending time with the family and the children, and they kindly introduced us to friends, which helped us settle in and whit job searching. The task were simple and clear (gardening, painting, maintenance), and everything felt fair. A warm, friendly place that we'd definitely recommend!!

I stayed with my partner Marcos at the Pink House, which is a separated house from James's and his family house. They were incredibly welcoming from the beginning, picked us up from the station, showed us everything around, and made us feel so comfortable. We shared some lovely family lunches and dinners, and really enjoyed spending time with the kids. The work was gardening, painting, and some general maintenance, and it was always clearly explained. It was a really warm and lovely experience. We are very grateful for our time there and would happily recommend it!❤️

Staying with James and his family was one of those rare experiences that touch your heart in a way you never forget. From the very first moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. They greeted us with warmth and excitement, and when they saw how tired we were, they immediately told us to take the next day off to rest. That small gesture made us feel safe, comfortable, and instantly at home. As we felt totally free in managing our working hours and every bit of effort we gave was appreciated. BIG Thanks to you James and your fabulous family, for opening your home and hearts to us

Our stay with James & Emma was truly unforgettable. From their warm welcome to weekend dinners and Ashraf cooking Moroccan dishes, we felt like family. We loved James's parents—they were kind, caring, and we are very grateful to have met them. The work was flexible and respectful, and we learned so much about gardening. Every moment with the house, children, and neighbors filled our hearts with joy, love, and memories that will stay in our hearts forever. We hope to meet again someday! James and his family will always have a special place in our hearts💖💗 THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Amazing experience! Highly recommended to stay here. James, Emma and their family are kind, attentive and wonderful people. We shared lovely meals and special moments together. They patiently helped us improve our English – great teachers (James's drawings were very helpful and clear 😊). The work was enjoyable and we had freedom to organise our tasks each day. We loved working in the garden and painting. The peaceful neighbourhood offers beautiful countryside views. Close to Cambridge and other nice places to visit. Thank you so much! Empanadas pending for next time 🥟🥟❤️
