The host has been determined, to make sure that we volunteers feel safe and welcome throughout the whole stay. He has been flexible towards our own schedules and excited to show us the village and where help and ideas could be of use. The surrounding nature is mesmerizing as well and as the host has been a tourguide before, he knows his way around the area well. He is very respectful and organizes meet ups with volunteers of befriended hosts in the nearby villages. The beaches are peaceful and I would always recommend this stay. I felt save all the time and feel like I learned so much more...

Wow what an amazing experience I had here! The host is so friendly and welcoming, on the first day within hours of being there I already did not want to leave. We taught the village kids English, learned traditional permaculture practices, were immersed into the culture through local festivals and traditions. I was so sad to leave but know one day I would love to visit again. I work in hospitality but now I know the true meaning of the word, thank you❤️

Its an amazing experience to be able to stay at this beautiful local village. The village is so beautiful and surrounded by beautiful beaches and hills. Moreover its so peaceful and quiet. Would really recommend it for those who love natures and looking for a peaceful quiet environment. Satria is also an amazing host, he really take great care of his guest. I explore so many beautiful places guided by him. Overall the experience is amazing, the host is so kind and great, and the place is so beautiful. Thankyou so much Satria for amazing 1 week of hosting me and showing me around!

I am so blessed to have gone to this special village Mentareng. Me and my bestfriend got to experience the true island lifestyle -catching fish for dinner, the kids climbing to get us coconuts, waking up with chickens as alarms, riding around mopeds to see the beauty of the project too. We created the most amazing bonds with the kids in only 9 days of staying there as we played everyday with them running and exploring as well as teaching them english in their local school which they were so eager to learn. Every volunteer benefits the children and village so much, happy to answer any questions!!

From the first day that i landed in the project i was welcomed at the airport with nothing but laughs and a good long chat on the way to the village, throughout the entirety of the trip i feel like i was not only able to build and understanding of how the people of the project live within their society but i was able to build such strong connections with the people who live there. Our trip was not only filled with quality time with the children everyday and countless opportunities to teach them english but it was also filled with memorable activities all over the island and in neighbouring villages.
