Our onsen is famed as Japan's oldest natural hot spring, known for its exceptionally high-quality water. Immerse yourself daily in this exquisite hot spring and refresh your mind, body, and soul. Our guesthouse is located middle of the Kumano Kodo hiking trail, and the Kumano Kodo is said to be a place where souls are reborn, and is a sacred and mystical place. We hope to share this wonderful connection with you!

I had a beautiful time at the guest house! Thanks to Tomoya, Momoka and Daichi I always felt very welcome and could ask them for help whenever I needed something. The work was super easy and fair and afterwards you can enjoy the onsen or explore the beautiful surroundings. I especially loved going to the river right in front of the staff house, visiting nearby villages, shrines, temples, and hiking parts of the guest house Kodo. It's such a special and peaceful place and I really enjoyed my time there. I would definitely recommend staying here especially if you love nature & rural areas!

The guest house is an amazing place to stay! I stayed a month and if you're looking for somewhere to go to slow down and reconnect with nature I would 100% recommend it! The staff working at the guest house are all absolutely lovely and really take care of you and make sure you have everything you need, getting to know each of them and my fellow volunteer was the highlight of this entire trip <3

The guest house is an amazing place to volunteer! The team is incredibly welcoming, kind, and friendly. The tasks are easy, almost meditative. I also got to work a few shifts at the local bar, which was amazing. Preparing drinks and food, serving, and washing dishes—all in a very relaxed atmosphere with wonderful people. the guest house Onsen is a special place where like-minded people meet and share their thoughts and values. I feel lucky to have experienced it. When the manager found out I had trouble sleeping because of a musty smell in my room, he immediately took action to fix it. Thanks the guest house :)

She has a wealth of life experience,possesses a kind heart,and skilled at both speaking and listening, and she has had a wonderful impact on our workplace.
When it comes to work, she learns quickly, is fast and efficient, and proactively stepped in to help us.

If you want to experience rural Japan and traditional japanese living then come here. The nature is surreal. However the best part is the people. The staff are so incredibly kind and accommodative. They're all very social and speak English. I lived at the staff house which is a 15-20 minute walk back to the guest house. Theres a beautiful river near the staff house to chill at. Cleaning wasn't hard however cleaning the ground floor dorms was a tad daunting due to my height. The bar shift was very fun and simple. The people and environment was simply amazing and I'd love to come back someday.

He was very sociable, quickly became friends with the other staff, and made the workplace atmosphere enjoyable.
He was cooperative and responsible at work, and helped us a lot.
Although he is still young, he has a strong ability to consider other people's feelings, and I would like to work with him again if I have the opportunity. And the pancakes he makes are 5-star quality!!

I could not recommend this place enough (giving this place 5 stars will never be enough when it deserves every star in the galaxy) Having spent two months in Japan before coming here and having had some difficult experiences with other Workaway and Worldpackers jobs I was about ready to give up but coming to the guest house not only more than made up for the previous experiences, it made my whole trip. If you have the opportunity to come, then I promise from the bottom of my heart you must because this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience it is so peaceful, lovely and wonderful.
