2tank Dive Hostel

Our Hostel is a brand new backpacker style hostel made by divers to divers, situated just 200 meters from the Caribbean Sea, in the heart of Cozumel, Mexico. The island is amongst the TOP10 dive destinations of the world with the most amazing dives, with more than 130 diveshops and the biggest scuba tank filling station of the world. We offer not just a place to sleep to our friends who decide to help us, but you can be part of a busy dive operation, meet new friends, divers, backpackers from around the world, and we also help you to make steps further to be not just a diver, but a very good and confident diver. If you consider to change your life, we help you to be part of our family and guide you how to become a dive professional.

We are an international team of backpackers, divers and dive instructors, who made a dream come true and we build up this hostel in 2015. We are proud to introduce Cozumel and it's beauties on land and underwater to our guests and to our friends who help us. The minimum stay is 1 week, check-in and check-out is always on Mondays. We are not able to host couples if you require doing the same shifts or if you need private accommodation. We are not able to provide free diving, but you will receive the same discounts on diving that our paying guests get!

It was my first experience using the app and it turned out to be a very good option, a very quiet place, with lots of free time, a very friendly work team and very comfortable facilities, the only thing that is very hot and the air conditioning is off during the day, but it is tolerable, in general a very good experience

This work exchange was not great value. We were scheduled to work 4 shifts a week (total of 20-30 hours) and in exchange we receive a bed valued at 10USD per night. The discount on diving was only 10% so I did not dive with the hostel as there are many shops on the island with better prices. There was zero communication with the host Peter, even though he was present in the hostel he did not speak with any of the volunteers. The work is simple - shifts don't need to be as long as they are. Although I enjoyed Cozumel and the friends I made, I wouldn't recommend this Worldpackers experience.
