we are located at a historical building in the German Colony -the tourism hotspot of modern Haifa- and at the edge of the Mount Carmel, Al-Yakhour Hostel is based; a start-up project by a group of young Palestinians.
If you look for a low cost hostel, a meeting point with locals, reachable nature spots and restaurants, a nearby night life, a culturally active place, and a calm corner to spend your visit or vacation, Al-Yakhour is the address...
The staff at our hostel is very kind and nice people, our stuff loves the city and knows a lot about it so i can be nice talking with and just hanging around together. I can tell also that our staff get the best scores from the visitors of the hostel you can check it at booking, hostel world and TripAdvisor. Volunteers here will have the opportunity to travel in different cities and have a nights free in different Hostels.. As well you can practice every week Arabic and Hebre so they can enjoy and explore the languages.. We also organize a trips in the nature for volunteers :) you have new friends here you are welcomed:)

This was my first volunteering and I had an amazing time in Al Yakhour hostel.
Haifa it’s a quiet and safe place with beautiful beaches around. Tamer and Saher are really nice people always willing to help and the food that the chef prepared it was amazing, also it was a good opportunity to learn some Arabic. Definitely I will go back again <3

This was my first time using Worldpackers and I think it was a very great one. I had a wonderful experience taking care of the hostel and the guests. Tamer and Saher the managers were great people and very accommodating. They had great communication with the volunteers. The food that the chef made was amazing everyday. I would do the whole experience again if I have to opportunity to.

Al Yakhour is a warm and welcoming place, was a home for me for 5 weeks. My first volunteer experience was in Haifa, I started my journey at north in Israel. Haifa is a quite chill place, where you can slow down, walk a lot on the beach or hike in the Mount Carmel. Work was quite easy, hours are respected, breakfast is delicious. Tamer takes care about the hostel and the volunteers, he is trying to help you wherever you need. I enjoyed my time here, through this time I had the opportunity to know more about their culture and their colorful life. I am really grateful for this experience 🙏✨✨✨✨

En general el trabajo es bastante tranquilo y se respeta los horarios, también te apoyan para organizar viajes en tus dias libre y la comida es bastante buena, cada uno o dos semana se organizaba un evento con todos los voluntarios para socializar e intercambio de cultura.

I don't need to think too much to say that it's the best place I've ever been a volunteer, super welcoming, always willing to help. everyone is very patient and very interested in helping and walking together. I felt part of a family, I will keep it forever.
