Amani Cultural Tourism Arusha

We welcome volunteers to our village to share skills and knowledge in our community led projects.

We are located on the slopes of Mount Meru Arusha, 19 km from Arusha town. The village is at 1600m elevation, surrounded by an abundance of fresh crops, banana trees and beautiful views. Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru can both be seen from various points through the village.

Our local community projects aim to educate both farmers and children in the village. We want to share different skills and ideas that can bring change to our community.

We also offer cultural experiences, mountain trekking and safari game drives for the volunteers where a portion of the profits go towards funding the community projects and kindergarten. For more information on these tours visit the websites below:

My name is Clemency and I will be your host during your volunteer experience. I was born and raised in the village and have been involved in helping the community for over a decade. I wish to welcome you to help continue this journey. Volunteers will be treated as one of the family members, come as volunteer and leave as friend. Volunteers will have the freedom to do their own things after daily work and weekends. You will have the opportunity to learn how to cook local dishes and enjoy fresh produce daily. Another way you can support the children and kindergarten is by donations and sponsorship. Please ask during your stay if this is something you are interested in.
