I had an amazing experience here. I made friends with everyone I lived and worked with who have become some of my best friends and there was endless entertainment and activities always.

Antea was a fantastic host! The work is super easy. Everyone becomes like a little family and I couldn’t have had a better time if I tried. Location is absolutely INCREDIBLE! Thanks again for the best summer backpackers fairytale ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I had a lot of fun in the beginning with promoting and going on the boat party! There were a lot of people in town and it felt like a never ending party. However, after one and a half weeks (due to seasonal changes I believe) fewer people with "party" intentions were in the town, which made promoting very hard. I feel like the hosts were not really prepared for it, e.g. they wanted us to promote at forbidden spots (like Charlie's) which felt very weird (especially since nobody else was promoting there) However, I would say I had a great time and some of my co-workers became friends!

Overall I would say I had a fun time in Split working as a promoter. Definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and I met a lot of amazing people. If you are looking for a set schedule of working hours this would not be the best fit. Schedules for the next day would be made the night before. Commutation was not always transparent and clear which lead to quite a few misunderstandings. Host asks that you be flexible with your personal time. This was not something that was discussed prior in my interview. All together I made amazing friends and always had fun on the boat party’s!

I would not recommend this experience. The host, Antea, she is nice but she is not the person in charge of the volunteers. A guy called Marco is and he never explained anything to us and always sent aggressive messages. He had no sense of leadership. Upon arrival I asked if I could stay longer and they promised me I could stay until the end of the season if I wanted but they never changed it on the page so he literally kicked me out one day without previous notice (probably on purpose, so I couldn't report them on Worldpackers). The accomodation was also super dirty and full of ants.
