Barn Door Hostel

We cater to adventure seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. Rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing, waterfalls, ice climbing, canoeing can all be found within 3 miles of our hostel

Owned and operated by Dave and his family, this hostel usually has around 6 to 10 staff throughout the summer months and 3 or 4 in winter. Staff share a room with eachother and have their own bathroom, entrance and exit.

This was my first work away and I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. I came during a period where not much was going on (because the season was over) but even so, my experience was full of enjoyment. Every staff member was so warm and welcoming, the hostel was very well maintained and cleaned, the place was beautiful. The energy of it all was so great that it was hard to leave. I hope to come back and say hi. If you want a great experience at a hostel, this is the place to be.

The Barn Door Hostel is up and coming! If you are looking for an opportunity to leave your mark on a future Rumney classic then check it out. It was a great place to become a local for a season.
