Budapest Garden Hostel
we are a stylish small size hostel with a garden and loads of activities & unique atmosphere. to get to the center is so easy, but still, we are a bit different from those hostels, we have our own garden so we spend most of our time there!
10 years working in Hostels, several volunteer positions I did myself and working with more then 100 volunteers, I have seen many cases already. Some of my ex-coleagues are my closest friends now!

This was an amazing volunteer experience! The hostel is nice and small so the work such as cleaning is very manageable. The working hours are great because you can go to the city either before or after your shifts. And the owner is super nice, friendly, and socializes with everyone. Reception area is outside on the terrace which is the best place to sit, relax, and wait for the guests. the hostel is very beautiful when in bloom and also a nice place to sit in the sun. The actual location of the hostel is far from the city center, but the bus/metro station is very close.

I had a wonderful experience! The work schedule and hours are fully respected, allowing a great balance. The atmosphere at the hostel is very welcoming, making it easy to connect with nature and meet people from different cultures. Highly recommended!

El hostel es super lindo, tiene un jardin increible. Esta bien ubicado, tenes buses y una estación de metro cerca. El dueño es super sociable, y se puede tener una buena comunicación. Las tareas son super sencillas

Fue mi primera experiencia haciendo un voluntariado y estoy muy contenta de haber elegido este lugar. Todo fue tal como se había acordado: los horarios se respetaron, las tareas son simples y están muy bien explicadas, por lo que es fácil adaptarse desde el primer día. Balazs fue muy amable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar. Además, es de Budapest y trabaja como guía turístico, así que puede darte excelentes recomendaciones y consejos para descubrir la ciudad y conocer lugares desde una mirada más local. Una experiencia que recomiendo a quienes estén haciendo su primer voluntariado🩷

I enjoyed the beautiful the hostel and getting to know many different international guests. The working hours are respected, the tasks are manageable and Balázs is a welcoming host… However, in the first week he „jokingly“ grabbed my ass. I left early after this incident as I didn't feel comfortable living and working there anymore.

Some important details you missed: We were outside of the work environment, went on a hiking trip together, talking the whole day, and as you admit as well: jokingly, as part of one of our discussion without any sexual or violent intention while we talked about muscles related running, I pointed on your ass and 'touched' it (pointed describes better) with the top of my fingers for 0.5 second. I shouldn't have done it, said sorry, but how you make it sound to other people is also not too fair.
