Building English-Speaking Community in Hanoi

VCV is a Social Enterprise based in Hanoi, Vietnam that recruits volunteers for NO FEE; providing FREE accommodation, FREE Meals everyday, visa assistance…trips & events, social experiences and activities. In exchange we ask for fun and energized volunteers to teach English for around 5hrs per day. We operate like a family; your experience is as important to us as the children we are trying to help! This Centre has great local amenities with a minimart, cafes & restaurants right next to the apartment building. Supermarkets and other retail outlets, gym & fitness locations within walking distance. We provide Dorm Room style accommodation each with a W/C & a maximum of 4 people per room. We have full daily services; blanket, pillows, laundry, cleaning, Wi-Fi, T.V, living area etc. Teaching at this Centre is usually conducted in the Mornings and Evenings located at VCV Centre (Low/Free lessons for underprivileged) and at a local English Centre that assists the local community (low student fee). VCV is welcoming and enjoy helping Volunteers anytime in our volunteer home. Here is a team of VCV Vietnam. Hayley Luyen - Founder The original founder of VCV, Ms. Hay had the vision and desire to change, inspire & create a better future for the youth of Vietnam. Launching in 2014 she has been the leader of VCV and is as passionate and inspired as ever. Ms. Hay loves to travel! Richard Lancaster - Operations Director One of the first ever volunteers to join VCV, Mr. Richard had the same desire to change & inspire. A lasting friendship with VCV and Vietnam, Mr. Richard returned to live in Vietnam in 2016. Inspired to help grow VCV and their activities. Mr. Richard loves permaculture! Lili Lancaster - Facilities Director First seeing VCV’s activities in 2016, Ms. Lili understood the vision and goals of VCV. She could also see how she could help VCV with facilities management and bring the activities to a larger community throughout Vietnam. Ms. Lili loves food! Addition, our students will become your tour guide. You will have lots of meaningful time to meet many amazing people, discovering Vietnamese culture, traditions all whilst sampling traditional Vietnamese foods. This will be a great chance for you to integrate into local people’s lives and traditions.

Words cannot describe how amazing VCV is !
I signed up to volunteer for a month and ended up staying for 5! Leaving with friends for life and memories I'll never forget.
VCV has felt like home, in a far away country. Ms Hay and the other volunteers have the gift of making you feel comfortable and part of the family. Next to teaching adorable children and motivated students, we organized some charity events/ team buildings/ fun day trips/ delicious food tours/ ...
Helping others and cultural exchange are central at VCV.
