Capitolsquarebnb

Opportunities to stay in the US capitol city, exchange culture and make friends with people from different parts of the world, at the same time, learn the american culture and language. Washington DC is very easy to get around and connect to big cities in the Northeast corridor. We are only 5 minutes walking from the nearest Metro station. There are 3 major Metro trains, 5 Metro buses, DC Circulators, and bike rental at the station. Workers can conveniently get around the city in their free time. Capitol Hill and Eastern Market are exciting and fun neighborhood with many restaurants, food markets, bars, and nightlife.

We are currently hosting interns and international visitors in our rooming house in DC. Getting help on hosting these international visitors who come from all parts of the world is the best experience. Opportunities include helping around the house chores, assisting guests in checking in and out process. We are looking for responsible and friendly people to help us host this cozy home. Our house is smoke free and alcohol free in all rooms. Quiet hours are also enforced.

I had a great experience, I was able to interact with many people and make friends while discovering Washington DC. I was very well received by Sireenat and the other volunteers!

It was my first volunteer with Worldpackers and it was amazing! Sireenat is a really kind, helpful and understanding host. I made truly friendship with the other volunteers and I talked a lot with the people that stayed in the hostel. Was an amazing time!

In general, volunteering was a good experience. I met people, places and had fun. unfortunately I didn't reach my biggest goal: I wanted to practice English, but for several times I didn't, since the host doesn't usually talk much and the work instructions are given by an intentionally Brazilian (wonderful person) who most of the time talked to me in Portuguese. But the final balance was positive. Sireenat is a good person and had many interesting guests.

This was my first worldpackers experience and it couldn't have been better! Sireenat was very kind to me. The hostel is very well located.

My favorite part was spending the evenings in the dining room talking with people from all over the world. The other volunteers and guests became great friends.

Regarding the activities to be carried out, they are from 11 am to 2 pm and they ask you to clean the kitchen at night, you have enough time to get to know the city if you are good at planning your times

Thank you Sirenat! this was the best experience ever! I will miss your food!

Capitol Square hostel has such a nice community and is even family like, the long evenings spend in the common room were the best.
The hostel is only a short subway ride from wherever you want to go and only a 15-20min walk from Navy Yard.
The working hours are from 11am to 14pm and then 1hour in the evening, what gives you lots of time to go to museums and what not after work
Overall I really enjoyed it
