Central Hostel

Our hostel is in the heart of Athens. Our neighbor is the Parliament house and the area has the highest security in the city. On the other side of the street you have the main entrance of the Zappeion park. All historical landmarks within 5 minutes walking distance.

The hostel has 8 rooms, all with windows to the backside garden or the front of the hostel with city view. We have been closed for renovation during Jan-March 2023. As a volunteer you will help out with daily duties such as cleaning and steaming of beds, and reception tasks, about 4 hours per day with 2 days off per week

Central hostel is the perfect place to stay at in the center.
The work is not hard at all and everyone working there was really nice and helpful.
The hostel is not very big so it feels private and not overwhelming at all.
I would definitely recommend this place for everyone who wants to explore Athens and meet some interesting people.

If you’re looking to explore Athens this is the place to do it. Very central location, walking distance from most major sights (including the Parthenon). The metro is nearby and there is plenty of public transportation for anything not in walking distance.

The work was exactly as I expected and very simple. The people you meet are definitely the highlight of this hostel. I stayed for a month and overall enjoyed my time.

I really enjoyed my time in Central Hostel. I worked there for almost 40 days and I always felt respected, the staff is really kind and comprehensible, always willing to help if you need anything. Oh, and the location of the hostel is the best! The hostel is at the front of the national park and very near from Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Plaka, and other nice neighborhoods. I feel grateful to have had this experience and to have met such lovely people on the way. I surely recommend this volunteer position.

The work was easy and the hours were what we had agreed upon, but the host was missing some crucial information in their profile that would’ve affected my decision to stay. Very cold showers and an ill equipped kitchen (air fryer and slow cooker). Overall a calm place to stay.
