• A perfect location in the heart of the second largest city in Denmark, giving you the best opportunity to experience all the cultural events that will take place in Aarhus. • An opportunity to make new friends from all over the world as you will be part of a very international family. We're sure you will perfectly fit into the pack. :)
You will be part of a volunteer team (8-10 people) that will focus on making our hostel a warm and cozy experience for our guests. You will help in shifts ranging among cleaning, housekeeping, serving breakfast, cooking, dishwashing, maintenance, bartending and hosting events. You will sleep in a separate bed in a larger dormitory with other crew members, and you will also share shower, toilet, washing & drying, and kitchen facilities. There is a private bathroom for crew members to use near the sleeping area. Your bed has a curtain for privacy, power sockets, private light and the hostel has free, fast WiFi. We provide all bedding and a towel. You can enjoy our delicious breakfast buffet every morning, and we deliver various groceries in order for our volunteers to make joint meals for lunch and dinner. You can feel like home in our rooftop café area, and enjoy our roof-top terraces where you can relax.
This experience has been one of the best in my life. The staff are incredibly friendly, fun and respectful. The hostel showcases a family atmosphere for all the staff, volunteers and customers. I have been able to learn many things, I am incredibly grateful for the experience, so much so, I extended my stay with no issues.
Working environment is perfect. Working 5 hours, 5 days a week, no more, gives a lot of free time to spend with the people of the hostel or go out and explore the beautiful city.
I will 100% return in the future!

I've just spent one month at Danhostel and it was an incredible experience! I joined the cleaning team, and as stated on the profile I worked 5 hours, 5 days a week. What you get in return is so worth it : a great place to stay with a super welcoming team and A LOT of good food. I was sad to leave everyone but I hope to visit whenever I can. I would recommend this volunteer position to anyone who wants to discover Aarhus while meeting good people from all over the world. Thank you Anti, Maria, and all the team of Danhostel :)

The experience was amazing!
Anti, the coordinator, was a truly leader, and a friend.
I met a lot of volunteers, and we were like a family, eating and spending time together.
The managers, receptionists and the owners was also really nice!
