Eaglehawk Holiday Park

We have just taken over management of a large holiday park facility on the outskirts of Canberra. The property resides in Sutton, New South Wales. The property is a large holiday park that is nestled in a quiet bush setting with an abundance of wildlife on the NSW/ACT border, 10 minutes from the centre of Canberra and the national institutions and attractions. While you are here you will see many kangaroos and rabbits running around the property.

We have an excellent reputation for making our worldpackerers feel part of our small family. At our property we house a maximum of 8 worldpackerers from across the world. During your time with us you will meet many different people and have the opportunity to share your stories and experiences. Canberra is the national capital of Australia. Immerse in our culture, visit the galleries and museums, see native wildlife minutes from the hostel and socialise with other travelers from around the globe.

I had a great time at Eaglehawk, the managers are welcoming and I was lucky to have great work mates. There you are a bit far from the city which can be great as it was for because I hate the city rush and prefer to live a more quiet experience when I'm traveling.

The best of the hostel is the people that work there, such a good team! the tasks are well shared and the free breakfast is a plus. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with a spacious common area.
In Dickson you'll find everything you need with good public transport to the city center.

I had the most pleasant surprise with my experience here in Dickson Central!
First of all, Canberra turned out to be a very amazing city with incredible surroundings and turism: Alan (one of the owners and an awesome guy) took me and other volunteers for hiking, barbecues etc... priceless moments.
The volunteering is very easy and the resident managers help you through everyday.
Breakfast is very good also! Such nice people volunteering there with me: I made a lot of friends!
I would definetely reccomend people to visit Canberra and Dickson Central when coming to Australia.
Cheers, mates!

Great place to work! The hostel is in a nice, easy to access area in Canberra. The daily tasks are quick to finish and nice to do with the volunteers team. The owners, Joseph and Allan, are very friendly and always willing to help with your doubts. They also offer some day trips for the volunteers, for example, we went with Allan to a reserve to see koalas 🐨!
I highly recommend this place to get to know Canberra better, it has a lot to offer and to learn about!
