Are you interested in working alongside a staff that continues to lead Ireland's Adventure and Equestrian market? To learn new skills from horse riding, to kayaking, to cooking? Or simply explore some of the majesty, culture, and beauty that Ireland has to offer. Be it in the hills or down at the local pub? Then look no further, and read on to find out more of what may await you! My family owns and operates an Activity and Equestrian with holiday homes and a multitude of other offerings that bring in people from all over the world. We are a friendly, family run business with a number of permanent staff on hand as well. We have a great house (see pictures) with a gym and games room, set in one of the most beautiful spots in Ireland, We are overlooking the majestic Mcgillycuddy's Reeks and border the Blackwater River and are only 3 miles from the sea. We're right in the middle of the famous Ring of Kerry and Newly Branded Wild Atlantic Way. There are plenty of opportunities for both hiking and biking through this beautiful country. As well as getting a taste of what the real Ireland is, rather than a binge weekend in Dublin! *️️️️️️️️️️English speaking of reasonable standard and a sense of humour would be extremely useful :-). *️️️️️️️️️️We do not accept couple applications, or friends, we only take only solo volunteers. *️️️️️️️️️️If interested in volunteering for a horse position we also ask for a reasonable riding level, as well as general knowledge in horse care and maintenance. If in doubt ask for our website and let me know if you are interested in joining our fun household of international helpers. For more info on our place and our cultural exchange opportunities, please continue to read below!
We live near the Killarney National Park in one of the most beautiful area's of Ireland. We are just outside the small village of Kenmare, which is nestled on the Ring of Kerry as well as the Wild Atlantic Way. So plenty of hiking/biking in the area (3km from the coast). As an activity centre we have bikes that can be borrowed, you can learn to ride horses if you wish, or you could even use the kayaks on our own private lake. There is a local pub with traditional dances on Friday nights and one of the best pints of Guinness to be had around (10-15 minute walk from our front door)! The closest town (Kenmare) is only a short taxi ride away for the occasional night out with all the other helpers as well. And of course there is always our own home social scene with a minimum of 4 helpers at any one time going up to 12 in the busy season. Our helpers are of all nationalities with the requirement that only English is spoken in the house :-) If you have any other questions please feel free to get in touch with a message! Thank you for taking the time to check out our profile and estate!
