Essaouira Beach Hostel

When you aren't working, you can enjoy the many beautiful sights and activities in and around Essaouira! We are right next to the beach, so you can enjoy a swim or surf easily. We have bicycles you can take around the city. The Medina is a nice 10 minute walk if you want to explore there/shop/hang out. There is also a Carrefour 10 minutes walk away to take care of any grocery store needs. There are restaurants, shops and bars around the hostel. Lastly, we always have our terrace, which will probably end up being your favorite place to hang out anyway! You can enjoy the sunset while listening to the staff play guitar, sing, and chat about the day.

The staff here comes from all parts of Morocco, and we can teach whatever you'd like to know about Morocco culture. If you want to work on your Arabic, we can help with that! Our staff is multilingual - Arabic, English, Spanish, French, and much more, but we're always looking to improve. We would love for you to exchange some your culture and language as well!

This was my second experience with Worldpackers and I really enjoyed it. Essaouira is a wonderful place, and if you like surfing and kitesurfing this will be the right place for you. I had an amazing time with the other volunteers and the people I met. The hostel is really nice and some people who work there are friendly and nice. Despite some things they say they would provide but didn't, I found this experience positive and worthwhile to do. I met extraordinary people and experienced unforgettable moments.

This was my first volunteering experience, and it was super fun. It’s the perfect place to meet international people and improve your language skills, as it’s so multicultural with many options.
Regarding the staff, the environment was really cool, and I had so many laughs with almost everyone. However, I can’t ignore that I faced some uncomfortable situations with one person in particular. To address this, I had to speak with three different people from the hostel at three different times. I just hope that no other volunteer has to go through a similar situation.

It was super fun. Everyone at the hostel was super accomodating and Usama, Wafaa, Yacine, Zacharia and Abdul made me feel right at home when I arrived. I met loads of great people here as well that I stay in contact with. Free Breakfast and Friday Couscous is always an added bonus. This hostel is great if your a beginner or intermediate surfer the free rental save a lot of stress and worry. The work is super relaxed and it can range from Reception which I did to working in the kitchen and cafe. Can't beat the sunsets from the rooftop either

It was the best experience! Everyone is so welcoming and nice, i felt home! It was really fun being there, the atmosphere is great and i met lot of people from all over the world, the staff are the nicest it was really a life changing experience, unfortunately couldn't stay for longer due to travel but i really don't regret this experience and i advice everyone to do it!!
