Fairy Knowe Backpackers

Fairy Knowe is a popular hostel and adventure center. We have a bar that is supported by many interesting locals and tourists. The bar is always entertaining and hosts talented live music 2-4 times a week.

With an abundance of bird life, multiple hiking trails, horse riding, volleyball, rivers, kayaks, canyoning, abseiling, paragliding and the beach nearby, it's almost impossible to run out of things to do!

We also have a 10 year old Malawian girl home-schooling at the hostel, Miriam, who is in need of tome tutor help.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to assist with the variety of tasks that we have from: front of house, promotion, adventure activities, cooking and of course a tutor for Miriam, our bright young student.

We are also open to volunteers spreading their time working on more than 1 of our volunteer positions.

When it's time to relax, grab a book from our vast selection and soak up some sun. Or go for a snooze in a hammock!

We are all very friendly and treat each other like family. Our previous volunteers have all felt that they were treated like they've been welcomed into a new family.
