Flexible Work Schedule in The OC, Orange Couny, California

If you have experience in construction, renovation, plumbing. electrical, repairs, etc. then come and enjoy the peaceful, beautiful setting in the canyon, then drive to the cities of Orange County (30 minutes from Irvine) and to the beach in less than an hour! There is so much to explore in Orange County, or venture into Los Angeles or San Diego.
If you like, start each day with a hike up our private mountain.
We allow very flexible work schedules, but ask that you are available to work on most weekends.

Stay in a private guest house for Worldpackers. Help our family of three grade school kids, one dog, and two cats to do various projects around our large property. If we go on a trip while you're here, one of your jobs will be to take care of the dog and cats.

Colin and his family were polite. My work involved the deconstruction of the shed which I later learned was filled with rat poop and contributed to the symptoms I felt. The guest house was okay. You can hear (what I assume) are rats in the walls, ceiling, and under the tub. There was a lot of dust and it kicked up my allergies so I left after my hours were done. Overall, it was a good experience with Colin.

We ended up not staying until the end of our stay because we had another opportunity that we were waiting for. Colin and his family were very receptive and the accommodation was good. It's good to have a car to get around as it's far from the city.

We stayed with Colin and his family for almost two weeks. It was an amazing experience helping them and to see beautiful surroundings. The area they are living in is soooo gorgeous and breathtaking. We love it.
They have lovely family, awesome dog and invisible cats :D
Communication was easy, clear and straight. Jobs were light. Accommodation was wonderful for us. They gave us a lift to get to their house. It was lovely to be introduced to local food sharing. Colin also agreed for extending our stay.
We highly recommend Colin and his family:) Thank you so much :)

Isolated canyon town 10 miles to large stores had to fill in for house sitter. At last minute two sitters one should up and left with in hours the other never materialized added responsibilities as Aminal watcher (cat and large dog that even host needs to control as when I left host had to be called as my Tasha (the dog) followed the vehicle down the winding hilly road ) Cottay accommodation wonderful. Hiking trails with awesome views cleaned up RV. Materials on hill side. Pick all fruit off trees and insulated partial underneath porch sunshine turned to rain last few days ground mud

My stay with Colin & his family was a great first Worldpackers experience.

I’d recommend to anyone looking to explore Southern California- I had my car and took weekend trips to LA and Santa Barbara, and went to the beach a couple times a week! Colin was very flexible with how I chose to stack my hours: I’d either stack my hours into 2.5 days to take weekend trips or work in the morning 5 days/week and spend the afternoons at the beach.

The guest house was super comfortable and up-to-date, with a full working kitchen that made cooking meals easy. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks Colin!!
