FORMOSA101 hostel
Formosa101 Hostel is located in the heart of Taipei City center.
10 minutes by walk to TAIPEI 101 and World Trade Center building, right next to famous local night market (Tonghua night market). Also if you want to explore the nature of Taipei, we're just near by the Xian Shan(Elephant Mt.) hiking trail, 10 minutes by walk to Taipei 101/World Trade Center MRT (Red Line) and Liuzhangli MRT (Brown Line).
We locate in Taipei city down town area, we are a mid-size hostel which you will be staying in one of the dorm room with other guests. We provide basic bread and coffee for breakfast, a small kitchen for cooking, convenience store and supermarket near by. We operate with a very small group of staff, we might not have time to take care of everything all the time, but you're always welcome to come to us if you need any help.

I had a very good month volunteering here! Everyone was very welcoming and kind, which made the experience enjoyable right from the start. The hostel is very well located—right next to Taipei 101, perfect for exploring the city easily.
This volunteer work allowed me to get to know Taipei and the local culture better; the tasks were well organized and left plenty of time to enjoy the city :)

It was a great experience working at Formosa 101. The staff where friendly and accommodating. They did not ask more of me than what was agreed on before hand and were willing to let me stay a couple days more than what was originally planed. The location is great with a night market right across the street and walking distance to Taipei101 and a great hiking trail up to Elephant Mountain.

Hi there! Have been staying at Formosa 101 main branch for about 1 month. I loved the experience!
The people are great(!!!), the hostel is lovely (the location is very good too!) and Taipei is just a fun city to explore!
Definitely a recommendation and definitely considering going back to Taipei one day 😜

She was extremely accommodating and understanding of my needs and made volunteering much easier. The children can be a bit too much but they're good kids.

This was my second time volunteering with Formosa 101! The staff is very friendly and kind, and the work is not difficult. The Xinyi location is great because it is near many shops, and the morning fruit/vegetable market is just outside! Also great space for digital nomads to work on the computer and make friends with guests. In all, I love working with Formosa 101 and will volunteer again with them in the future!
