This was my first Worldpackers program, and definitely won’t be my last. I was able to explore nature, learn about gardening and sustainability, practice Spanish, and meet amazing new people in a new environment. Every day of work was different, and I certainly got out of my comfort zone.

I was lucky enough to meet 5 other volunteers over my time, so it was super lively most of my time there and we were able to have campfires, go on hikes together, and hear Nico’s ghost stories! The food was also amazing!! Geoversity was more than I could have ever hoped. ❤️

Being at Geoversity, I uncovered several “firsts” including harvesting and constructing with bamboo, chopping down citronella, and hiking through the jungle. The tasks varied by difficulty and were fair. And we also had a good amount of time that we could either spend alone or chill with others. The environment is relaxing and very green. All of the people who work with Geoversity were kind, especially Nico, Anthony, Mark and Doris. Grateful for the time I had here 🥰

The time in Mamoni filled me with gratitude This is such a special place. I was able to learn so much about permaculture and the jungle ecosystem and enjoyed every moment that I was surrounded by the beautiful nature there. The people I met now have a place in my heart. At this point, thanks to Mark & Nico, you are great hosts and to the local chef Angel, who was like a little brother to me. I had a fun and exciting time there and would definitely recommend it.
Gracias por todods geoversity, I will come back 💛🙏🏾🌞

The Mamoni center is the place to be if you're looking for an immersive experience in nature. The people there are super welcoming and ready to help and listen to any of your needs. The job can be heavy but also so fun it feels light (+ the work day ends pretty early so you have all the night to relax and spend time with people or alone). This was my first worldpackers experience and I would absolutely recommend! Just be aware that you will be completely immersed in nature 24/7 🌴🌼🐒
muchas gracias Geoversity!

Centro Mamoní is a beautiful location. The work was exciting and we could suggest what task to work on. Food was delicious. Mark was organized and explained about permaculture, but left after my first week. Staff and workers were friendly. Yet, several things need a thorough revision: Arrival/Departure process, Communication structures, Providing a drier place to sleep and allow warm washing. At times we were left without someone responsible for us; a serious safety issue. Despite protecting myself, I was covered in insect bites. My impression: the volunteer program is currently lower priority
