Good Food Institute @ Simone's Kitchen

We offer a unique experience, to learn Vegan cooking and how it is to work in a restaurant, in a relaxed environment. We create a 3-course menu every 3 weeks and throughout the weeks, you will learn to cook and prepare different aspects of the menu so by the end of the 3 weeks you will be able to create everything yourself.

We can only accept EU residents or visa holders.

We are 3 Chef Managers all originally started as Volunteers ourselves. Ruth from Holland, Milena from Poland and Alistair from England. There are usually 4 to 5 volunteers at one time from many different countries and backgrounds and we pride ourselves on creating a homely environment that is enabled us to work in and live together as a community.

I spent three months volunteering at Simone's kitchen and I can 100% recommend this experience. Alistair, Ruth and Milena are very welcoming and communicative. They understand that you are a volunteer and still have to learn a lot, so you can ask as many questions as you like and if you make some mistakes you receive constructive criticism instead of just being scolded. Shifts can sometimes be long or a bit stressful but stress is well-managed by the hosts and the atmosphere among team members is never really tense. Overall a really good experience.

I really enjoyed my time at Simone's Kitchen. Ruth was really nice and also Milena and Alistair were really patient and helped a lot. The job can be hard sometimes, but you get free days where you can explore Antwerp and the cities nearby.

I really had a great time, Antwerp is a wonderful city and I made a lot of new friends. A piece of my heart will always stay there.

Staf people are really friendly and kind. Everybody is patient and are available to help you. The work is the same as they explain in the page. I really recommend this experience. Also the city is really beautiful and you can visit other cities when you have free time. Thank you for all!! 💖

Amazing place, amazing people. I really spent beutiful 2 months in Simone's Kitchen. I learned everything by way of doing. Ruth,Alistair, and Milena are really kind and helpful for tasks. I developed friendship from different parts of world. Thank u guys ❤️

I am really happy with my stay at simone's kitchen. Milena and ruth are both always willing to help you, teach you or answer some of your questions!!
The tasks were simple enough for you to feel confident but difficult enough for you to learn and improve :)
Antwerpen may not be one of your preferred tourist destinations, but it's actually a great and beautiful city.
