Hawi Nani Ranch
Hawi Nani Ranch is located on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are a small horse ranch on 22 acres of lush pastures with views of the ocean and Maui. We have a menagerie of horses, ducks, goats, chickens and cats! There is an excellent vegetable garden to care for and plenty to do on the ranch and nearby. We are nearby beautiful beaches and excellent hiking.
My husband and I, in our early 30's, and my mother, a preschool special ed teacher run the ranch. We are friendly and hardworking people who care about providing a safe and comfortable space to whomever joins us. We want someone who joins us to feel welcome and excited to take care of the animals and land here.

I spent 4 weeks here at the farm and had an incredible experience! Jordan, Becky and T will welcome you with open arms and treat you like family! Tasks on the farm vary from feeding, grooming, and weedwacking, etc. And if you don't know how to do something they'll teach you! After work and on the weekends you have the chance to explore the island with the car provided to the Worldpackers! Couldn't recommend this place more!!

I had the best 6 weeks at the Ranch and would recommend to anyone considering it! The farm is set in the most peaceful and idyllic location, with the cutest animals and the kindest people. The work was always very enjoyable and varied, and Becky & Jordan were happy to teach you on unfamiliar tasks or equipment. The outdoor living arrangements were comfortable and there is a car available to explore the island. I will treasure my time here forever and am grateful to be leaving with very special memories and lots of new friends. Thank you again!

I LOVED my stay at the farm, this was one of the best trips of my entire life. The family is so welcoming and so fun, and I feel like I learned something new every day, be it info about Hawaii, how to use a new tool, or skills on a farm. It was so peaceful and relaxing to spend my whole day outside with the animals with the ocean in sight, and I felt so fulfilled every day waking up and working hard. This was so awesome, I hope to come again soon!

This was the best trip! I was super nervous as it was my first volunteer trip like this but everyone was so welcoming and the best way is to just immerse yourself into it and you will love it! The work can be trying some days but it feels good to do hard labor and feel accomplished at the end of it. I definitely would recommend boots. My favorite part was meeting all the lovely people, Jordan, Becky, Travis, Heidi, Hunter, Kat, the locals and especially the other volunteer girls you grow so close to it is amazing. The island is beautiful and the animals and farm is so healing, miss it so much
