Heaven Hill Projects

We don’t require any specific qualifications, meaning we have volunteers of all different backgrounds. Volunteers can help at the school doing teaching and library sessions or doing other projects such as construction and gardening. Volunteers are asked to work only 4-5 hours per day and the rest of the time is free to spend as you like. The surroundings are very peaceful - perfect for hiking, yoga, meditation or just chilling out. Please use my below links for more information . https://www.heavenhillacademy.org/

My name is Shamser and I live in Gaunshahar with my family. Volunteers have their own dorm rooms in my house and they are treated like one of the family. we provide volunteers three meals and we ask 5 usd per night per person.

Heaven Hill is one of the best experience i had. I learned a lot of things and some nepali words. I like the experienced that we taught english, play with them and make some lunch for the kids. Host was very accommodating and very organized which is very important. Second, Mr. Shamser is really committed and passionate about education for kids and helping other people. Third, the place where we stayed is so nice coz you will feel the fresh air and you will see the awesome scenery. Lastly, food is good, they serve Dal Bhat.

I highly recommend Heaven Hill to learn more things & meet locals.

It was a pleasure to volunteer at Heaven Hill Academy. The accommodation for the volunteers is cozy. There is a fast Wi-Fi and everyday breakfast and dinner are served. Lunch is available at the school. As a volunteer, you can help in the kitchen, on Instagram, as a teacher, on the construction site, or share other skills and ideas with the project. On Saturday and Sunday, you can rest and explore the rural life of Gaunshahar and its inhabitants.

Namaste 🙏🏽 We spent a little more than two weeks at Heaven Hill Academy and could not have asked for a better first local experience in Nepal. The view from the village is breathtaking and gives you a genuine and realistic image of the Nepali lifestyle in the mountains. Volunteering at the school was a pleasure, whether it was helping with painting, construction or teaching English to the kids. Their smile is contagious!! Also, what we enjoyed was creating connections with all the beautiful committed volonteers from all over the world.

It was a great experience volunteering at Heaven Hill Academy and stay at Shamser's house.
During my stay there were volunteers from different countries like Australia, Italy and France. I worked in the school library, had plenty of free time and the opportunity to go for walks. The view of the mountains is really beautiful, I was able to practice and improve my english, in addition to seeing up close the big difference that Shamser is making by providing a differentiated education to the children . I highly recommend this experience and all the learning it provides.
