We stayed with my boyfriend for a month, Helen was very kind to us, she even picked us up at the train station and took us back the day we left. Puppies and dogs are the sweetest thing in the world. It was a very beautiful experience and a lot of learning. Our fellow volunteers made the experience even better. We are very grateful and hope to visit them again one day. Thanks for everything!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I loved every minute of it. Helen is lovely and makes you really feel at home, plus I learned a lot from her passion and commitment in what she does. The dogs are amazing and spending time with them brings joy.
Also I met some others volunteers and had the opportunity to exchange and learning from them too.
I would recommend to anyone this experience, but must be open to learn new tasks and be proactive to get to best out of it.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I can surely say that it was a lovely experience. If you would like to spend time with dogs and meet new people but at the same time spend alone time in the small forest in a small village and enjoy being with yourself this is a great opportunity for you. Helen’s house of hope is a lovely place to stay and I assure you that you will bring some lovely memories from this place :)

Helen and her other volunteers were very helpful in getting me there and making me feel welcome. It was a unique experience but a little different than I had expected and I sadly couldn’t complete my stay but feel free to message me with any specific questions.

Volunteering in Helen’s house it’s such a life experience. Challenging sometimes, it’s definitely not an experience for everyone. In the winter it can be really cold and you have to make your own fires in the house. Tasks will be easier if you have experience with dogs, but with a proactive attitude you will learn a lot. The dogs are lovely! You get to spend time with them and in nature too. Helen does a weekly grocery shopping and it’s good to communicate with the other volunteers for the sharing. Thank you Helen for the opportunity, and Floor, Alex, Candela and Gonzalo for the good times!
